That man or woman who pissed you off doesn't deserve your frustration; it will only fuel their ego. Sometimes it's better accept things for what they are. Yea, she's an asshole, sure he's an egotistical prick- but what good will it do for you to point it out? Absolutely nothing. Telling them off will do nothing for you. Unless it's someone you really care about and are building towards a better tomorrow, you're better off taking the high road. Chances are you'll feel different when you cool off and maybe not even care in a day or two.
When other’s control your emotions, they control your thoughts and health along with it. Some people feed off of that- in their mind- they feel big when you feel small. But that's not your problem. Focus on what you can control and find that inner peace they so much desire.
Advice from Dr. Bernstein: If you're really burning to say something, write it out and put it in your draft box for 24 hours before deciding to send it. This gives you time to devise a sane and rational response to the situation. And don't be afraid to tell the person who has aggrieved you that you need a day or two to think about the issue.
Show you have manners. Be the better person ;)
